Veteran’s Singles Final – March 23^rd 2011 –  Dave Austin  v  John Williams

In a contest of real quality, John Williams won the match 5 – 4,  the  score not really a reflection of the closeness of the contest, in which both players performed very well. John edged the match by taking full advantage of the three shots David had to concede, and performed particularly well on the greens.

John got away to a flying start, winning the first two holes and, although David played virtually to his handicap for the rest of the match, John’s consistency carried the day.
