20 Vets turned out against the Ladies in good golfing conditions, and the standard of play was very high.
The Vets were conceding 2 courtesy shots to the Ladies in this Greensomes competition, and most of the ten games played were very close and could have gone either way.
The final result was a win for the Vets by 6 ½ to 3 ½, with the golf being followed by an excellent lunch, also being notable for the worst joke of his year being told by the Vets Captain, involving prawns, sharks, and born-again Christians.
Let’s hope the incoming captain has acquired a better joke book!
