Mixed Greensomes with Lady Vets - 12th December 2011
A well supported Mixed Greensomes was won by Roger Doherty and Lesley Garnett with 30 points over 13 holes. Thats 2.3 points per hole and extrapolating would have been 42 points over 18 holes.....Bandits!.

Cold start but clear blue skies and a brandy in the coffee set us up for a great morning's golf on the Gainsborough course.
Well that is until our Captain played yet another of his "car park" shots driving a ball into the park on the 9th ending up under a Honda Civic which his partner, Lady Vets Captain Gill Dutton deemed unplayable!
Club Captain Nigel Byham and Lady Captain Carol Mehrer attended and presented the prizes after a superb lunch and Lady Vets Captain Gill gave a first rate speech. Happy Birthday was sung to Gwynne Griffith's wife and it was great to see Eileen Ladley there.
Alex Giddens showed his female hormones and played off the Red Tees and was accordingly presented with a pair of ladies pink socks whilst our Vice Captain Alan ran a Heads n' Tails game raising money for the two Captains' charities.
All round, a very entertaining day and our thanks to the Ladies and Robin Tyrrell for the arrangements.
