Although we lost these matches, they were very close and either could just as easily have both been won by Stoke.
The Colchester Course was in great condition, with the fairways and greens being 2 or 3 weeks ahead of our own.
The Warren also looked a picture with all the trees and shrubs in bloom, even at such an early stage in the season.
Unfortunately your Captain managed to three-put from eight feet to snatch a half, for the Team, from the jaws of victory.
However, our lads put their heart and soul into the Ball Draw and came out narrow winners in both cases.
At both venues we were served with very enjoyable meals - it seems that the standard of cooking at the Golf Clubs, we visit, is improving year after yeaR.
