Stoke Vets had mixed fortunes in the two away matches played this week.
Against Braintreeit looked as if we would get a result but losses in the last few matches resulted in an overall loss of five and a half to two and a half.
However at Haverhil lwe managed to half the match (4 wins each).
Both courses were in excellent condition but Haverhill, in particular, was as good as I've ever seen it. The greens were magnificent. I must compliment Haverhill, also, on their Carvery - the best I have had so far.
For those who may think we play a lot of matches - you may like to know that Haverhillplay 64 each year. Goodness knows how they find enough people to play in them all.
