At 7am on the morning of the match the weather forecast was predicting torrential rain and the clouds overhead confirmed this. Unfortunately (or fortunately as it turned out) we were unable to contact Felixstowe to cancel. In the event we played and there was only a slight drizzle as we teed off. Ironically, when driving home after a superb fish and chips lunch, the heavens opened.
As for the match - the team were superb and we recorded a narrow win. Strangely, for Felixstowe, there was very little wind and as a result the course played very short. Even your Captain managed a number of Pars.
