Inter Club Match v Colne Valley Home April 2011

A determined team took to the Constable course hoping to reverse the run of Inter Club defeats against our friends from Colne Valley.

Easier said than done!

Our Captain, Steve Ling, and Malcolm Jones started the results very well returning a 3 & 2 victory. Further wins by Peter Jay & Barry Jewitt and Alex Giddens & Terry Maddams were the only other successes.

Alex was fortunate that he hadn't quite left the clubhouse to play in the Wednesday Swindle as he was reminded that he was in the Colne Valley match.

David Austin (Handicap 8) and Russell Green (21) were up against a Colne Valley team member (27) who was having "one of those days" when everything went for him.

A great day with golf played in the very best of spirits.
