Inter Club Match v Benton Hall Away August 2011

This was a difficult match in which our opponents included a number of 20 plus handicaps - we always seem to have problems playing against these.

Although your captain didn’t play particularly well,David Austin certainly did and it was particularly disconcerting to meet a 22 handicap who never hit one bad shot and pared the stroke index 1 with some ease.

We would never get agreement to this but I sometimes wonder whether all inter club matches should have a maximum handicap of 18.
