On the warmest day or the year so far a good field of 45 took to the Gainsborough fairways armed only with a variety of three clubs and their putter.
As could be expected results were very mixed with some members realising that a 6 iron is not the ideal weapon to use to get out of bunkers and others considering that to use both a 6 iron and 7 iron may not be the smartest of options.
Despite these severe limitations it does appear that all participants thoroughly enjoyed their mornings sport.
